Visit of Potsdam collaborators

As a part of the DAAD-MZO German-Croatian bilateral project "Myelin protein impact on membrane phase state, morphology and structure", junior researchers from the laboratory of Dr Rumiana Dimova at the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam (Germany) visited RBI from September 18th to 22nd, 2023.

PhD student Nicky Tam and postdoctoral researcher Dr Agustin Mangiarotti visited the Laboratory for Engineering of Biomembranes and experienced the day-to-day experimentation on spectroscopic liposome characterization. They also each held a public lecture on their work at the Max Planck Institute and attended the symposium Peptide Chemistry Day.

Dr Mangiarotti held a lecture titled "Membrane Wetting and Remodeling by Biomolecular Condensates". Nicky Tam held a lecture titled "Probing the interactions between cell-derived extracellular vesicles and matrix materials".
